nothing will change your perspective on a character like someone who is batshit obsessed with them
how i feel when someone convinces me a character is so awesome by constantly talking about them and i find a new found appreciation for that character and i would have never come to that realization without them
You did this to me with Nidhiki. Like, I always thought he was interesting, but you tuned me into a lot more depth to him than I originally appreciated
u can tell about how old a bonkle head is by asking them who they think is bionicle jesus
You know it really is interesting now that I’m thinking about it because there’s 3 main Bonkle Jesus candidates, and all of them embody exactly one major Jesus trait:
Takanuva: prophesied savior/messiah foretold to lead his people out of darkness and who’s coming was heralded by a star
Matoro: savior who gave up his life for the salvation of everyone as a part of a cosmic plan that required the sacrifice of a pure and noble soul
Mata Nui (glatorian form): the incarnation of the main god as a “normal” mortal man who learned to live among them before leading a movement inspired by him
So like, I guess it also comes down to which Jesus trait is the most Jesusy to you
